CCTV Pipe Inspection
CCTV pipe inspection gives you a certified, documented look inside your lines before you commit to a repair, accept a new installation, or let a small defect become an expensive problem.
What is CCTV Pipe Inspection?
CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) pipe inspection uses a self-propelled camera crawler to travel through a pipe and capture continuous HD video of the interior condition. The footage is reviewed by a PACP, MACP, or LACP certified technician who logs every defect, joint, root intrusion, or structural issue against a standardized coding system.
The result is a defensible inspection report that meets NASSCO standards and holds up to review by a city engineer, developer, or regulatory body. You get the video, the report, and a clear picture of what the pipe looks like and what needs to happen next.
MVP runs mainline, lateral, and manhole inspections across Iowa and the surrounding region. Every inspection is certified.
When CCTV inspection is the right call:
- Pre-acceptance inspection for new sewer installations in residential and commercial developments
- Municipal mainline condition assessment and maintenance planning
- Post-cleaning verification after jetting or rehabilitation work
- Root intrusion, offset joint, or structural defect investigation
- Lateral inspection for inflow and infiltration source identification
- Manhole inspection and condition rating
- Confirming pipe condition before lining or point repair work
